Piedad has become one of the favorite TPRS trainers in the Northeast of the United States. She has been studying and learning with Blaine Ray, Susan Gross, Carol Gaab, Jason Fritze, Joe Nielsen, and Julie Baird since 2000. Which means she has known about the TPRSâ steps and skills as they have been created, modified, and enriched. This specific training in TPRSâ complements Piedad’s formal education as a candidate to the PhD in Latin American History at Rutgers University.

Besides being a constant and consistent researcher and trainer, Piedad has also produced excellent materials to be used in the TPRSâ classroom. One of them is the TPRSâ component for the series Avancemos published by McDougal Littell. The others are Mis cartillas, a series of thematic units for beginners and elementary school FLES programs, and Mis libritos three series of easy readers.

To complete her credentials, Piedad is a certified Spanish teacher in the State of New Jersey and a Spanish teacher at the Montclair Public School District. This makes her not only a well-trained TPRSâ facilitator and a successful author, but also a hands-on teacher who knows what is going on in the classroom today!

Piedad offers workshops and in-service seminars throughout the school year and during the summer. For workshops designed to satisfy your specific needs, please contact us.

Schedule of seminars and workshops for 2011

I have designed a series of workshops following the three
steps of TPRS. Each workshop addresses the most important strategies and
techniques you can develop to become a more confident TPRSer.

Each workshop is autonomous and at the same time complements
the other workshops in the series.

At the end of each series I will facilitate a FREE coaching
session hosted at one of our schools.

At the end of the list of workshops you will find a link to
complete the registration form

If you are interested in university credits, please send me
an e-mail. You receive one credit after participating in one series;
writing a college level paper; and paying the university fees.
